START WITH THE PROPERTY’S VALUE
Property Tax Solutions
A property assessment deserves a closer look when it does not seem to reflect the facts. We can discuss valuation questions for homes, commercial property and land, and help identify the information needed for a review.
Discuss My PropertyReview the assessment and the underlying facts
A useful review begins with the notice, the appraisal district’s property record and the characteristics of the real estate. Size, condition, use and comparable market evidence may all matter. An assessment question should be considered in the context of the applicable process and valuation date.
Different properties need different evidence
The evidence relevant to a home may differ from the evidence for an income property or a large tract of land. We discuss the property type and the records available before defining the scope.
- Residential: property characteristics, condition and comparable-sale information.
- Commercial: property records, market evidence and relevant operating information.
- Land and acreage: access, use, parcel characteristics and comparable land evidence.
- A documented valuation review and questions to address before proceeding.
Start with a property-value conversation
Contact our office to discuss the property and available market information. Protest preparation and representation are not offered through this page. Any separate service would first require confirmation of qualifications, availability and a written scope.
Keep deadlines and outcomes in perspective
Check your notice and the appraisal district’s current instructions. Contacting Malone does not file a protest, extend a deadline or create representation. A review may identify a basis to challenge a value, or it may not. No reduction or amount of savings is guaranteed.
Questions you may have
Will a review guarantee lower taxes?
No. An assessment review cannot guarantee a value change or tax reduction. Results depend on the facts, evidence and applicable process.
Do you review commercial property and land?
You can inquire about either. The legally permitted scope and availability of representation must be confirmed for the property and assignment.
Does submitting the form file my protest?
No. An inquiry is not a protest filing or representation agreement. Follow the appraisal district’s instructions and deadlines.
